Second Spaces for Youth Train the Trainers Workshops were successfully held in Egypt. During September 2024, our pre-trained female and male coaches from the Governorates of Cairo, Fayum, Asyut, and Port Said participated in part two of the Spaces for Youth Egypt Train the Trainer Training.

During the four-day-training our participants developed a deep understanding of the core concepts of Sport for Development (S4D). This included aspects of sports literacy, session structuring, and ensuring safety within their activities. They learnt to create a solid regulatory framework that promotes trust and responsibility within their groups.

A key learning objective included understanding the role of a S4D Coach. For it, participants explored their role in delivering S4D sessions, identifying teachable moments, and conducting systematic reflections on their sessions. In addition, the training raised awareness about social inclusion by teaching participants how to make their sports activities accessible and inclusive, particularly for youth with disabilities.

After a successful completion of part one and part two of the Spaces training courses, the coaches received a certificate, granting them the title of a SPACES S4D COACH. They will now start implementing the S4D courses for the youngsters in four Governorates with support of our trained SPACES S4D MENTORS.
