Objectives
Young people in Egypt are empowered through sport-based capacity-building and awareness-raising activities towards social inclusion and social participation.
Key stakeholders from the youth and sport sector in Egypt improve their capacities to support youngsters through sport for development approaches and local S4D ecosystems.
Activities
Spaces for Youth Egypt is based on four pillars:
(1) Youth Empowerment activities for young women and young men, including youngsters with disabilities,
(2) Capacity Building trainings for S4D mentors, S4D coaches, and S4D cluster teams,
(3) Awareness-Raising activities towards relevant stakeholders, and
(4) Developing Local S4D Clusters in four Governorates in Egypt.
Partnership
The Spaces for Youth Egypt programme is funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) implementing on behalf of the German Government with co-funding from the European Union through the Equal Opportunities & Social Development project. Spaces for Youth Egypt is implemented by ISA Youth and SPIN Sport Innovation with Outreach Egypt.
